“It has long been said, “the heart of any audio system is the preamplifier.”
Audia Flight’s mission is to redefine pre-amplification by preserving the original audio signal’s purity. Our Strumento N°1 evo Stereo Preamplifier achieves this with a new output stage and gain modules, delivering precision, accuracy, and an expansive soundstage with exceptional signal speed exceeding 1MHz.
Crafted from a custom, top-tier aluminum cast, the Strumento N°1 evo chassis comes to fruition
Strumento N°1 evo’s chassis undergoes precision CNC finishing, hand polishing, shot peening, anodization, and elegant silk-screening. In the chassis, you’ll find four toroidal transformers: two 75VA for main stages, one 25VA for control boards, and one 15VA for the logic board. Each is enclosed in epoxy resin and shielded with a ferromagnetic casing
The main power supply, known for ultra-low noise, employs fast rectifiers, 40 680µF 100V capacitors, EMI shields, and vibration-damping for quiet operation. It consists of eight low-noise stages. Every channel utilizes its own premium copper circuit board, with ultra-pure copper bars managing grounding and power supply tasks before reaching the volume control.
Volume control is a pivotal factor in preamplifiers. It can occasionally introduce impedance fluctuations depending on the volume setting.
To ensure an accurate and high-performance signal, Audia Flight has developed a constant impedance attenuator made of discrete components, offering a gain range of up to 127 dB with precise 0.5 dB steps. This unique volume control provides an extended frequency response (3Hz / 1MHz –3 dB) and a high slew rate (>250V/µs) across the entire gain range (-90 / +10 dB), ensuring exceptional performance.
The gain stage, designed exclusively by Audia Flight, features class A current-feedback circuitry and is powered by four independent, stabilized stages per channel. The output stage utilizes Class A biased MOSFET audio devices for low-noise, high-current performance. Additional options, including phono inputs, digital inputs, and analog inputs, are available to meet your specific needs.
